HI, I'M ARLENE!
I am a board licensed naturopathic doctor and birth doula servicing Mississauga and Toronto with a special interest in fertility support, pregnancy, womxn's hormones and skin health, including facial rejuvenation acupuncture.
My approach to health care is nurturing, gentle and evidence-based. As someone who has PCOS, I am incredibly interested in helping womxn understand more about their hormones, their bodies and how their gut and immune system can plan a role in their health outcomes.

WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT FROM MY FIRST SESSION?
The first session is for us to take a deep dive into your health concerns, goals and past medical history. You are open to share your story with me, and I will listen and respond with questions I feel may help us understand what is going on.
At the end of our appointment, I may recommend some further lab testing as well as a general treatment plan incorporating diet, lifestyle, stress-management, movement and natural supplements to help get you started!
WHAT IS THE TIMELINE OF TREATMENT?
Initial Visit: 60-75 mins
First Follow-Up Visit: 45 mins
This is 2-3 weeks after our first appointment to finalize our individualized treatment plan
Second Follow-Up Visit: 15-30 mins
4-6 weeks after our first follow-up. This check-in point is to see how our treatment plan is going
Maintenance Appointments: As we deem necessary. The goal is to have you continue on without much intervention

HOW SHOULD I PREPARE FOR MY FIRST TREATMENT?
Bring any recent bloodwork and imaging reports as well as your current medications and natural health products (including dosages). I am looking forward to meeting you!
DOES OHIP COVER NATUROPATHIC LAB TESTING?
Unfortunately, OHIP does not cover lab testing done by Naturopathic Doctors. Arlene has seen that some tests which are not often commonly run will uncover a more direct treatment plan. She will only recommend what is necessary while being mindful of your financial situation
